LOCAL WILDFLOWER
Our local wildflower honey is gathered from various wildflowers such as: Holly, Galberry, Palmetto, Golden Rod and Spanish Needle to name a few. One of the biggest causes of allergies is pollen from wildflowers. Studies have found that eating local wildflower honey can help limit allergic reactions caused by the pollen. As with most other types of honey, there are natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties making it an effective way to naturally boost the body’s immune system, fight infections, soothe sore throats and help with digestion.
The mild floral flavor and rich sweetness of Florida’s wildflower honey makes it a popular sweetener for tea and coffee. My personal favorite is served with grapes, watermelon, blueberries & strawberries.
